Shale, Seema back at Bantu
BANTU have reappointed Motlatsi Shale as their new coach following the sacking of Katiso Mojakhomo last month.
A Matšo Matebele have also reappointed their legendary defender, Lehlohonolo Seema, as technical director.
Bantu public relations officer, Motlatsi Mofokeng, yesterday confirmed Shale and Seema’s return.
“I can confirm that Shale is back as head-coach, but he will only take over from Monday next week,” Mofokeng said.
“The team was already preparing for Sunday’s league match against Rovers and we felt it was only fair that the current caretaker coaches (Caswell Moru and Mosito Matela) continue until Sunday.”
Mofokeng also said Bantu legend and Bloemfontein Celtic assistant coach Seema would be technical director.
Moru and Matela would be assistant coach and team manager respectively, Mofokeng added.
Asked why Moru had not been confirmed head coach after leading Bantu to the Independence Cup last weekend, Mofokeng said: “Unfortunately, Ntate Moru has other commitments that keep him busy while we felt Ntate Matela is more suited to the position of team manager.
“We are very grateful to the success they brought to the team during the short time they were in charge of the team.”
