These were the words of a proud and loving Mother who was given a respite from mourning her husband and instead celebrating the achievements of her son, Tau Ramokotla of Maputsoe Community High School as he took strides of pride towards Ntate Nkau Matete, Managing Director of Metropolitan Lesotho, and The Honourable Minister of Education & Training Dr. Mahali Phamotse to receive a laptop and trophy proudly sponsored by Metropolitan Lesotho. Tau Ramokotla received M5000.00 and his first laptop courtesy of Metropolitan Lesotho for his hard work and for remembering his Fathers words. He was one of 10 students we recognized and celebrated with M5000.00 and a laptop for being the top achievers in the country. In total we celebrated the efforts of 8 schools and 33 top achieving students, rewarding their efforts to the value of M250,000.00 We are proud and dedicated to motivating the schools and the students to reach greater heights. You may ask why donate such an amount, why give these hard working children and dedicated teachers these monies. Why does Metropolitan Lesotho find Tau Ramokotla so exceptional? The answer is simple. We may not know what Tau’s Father told him, but we know that if he was still around, he would want to reward Tau’s hard work and dedication to creating a brighter future for himself and for his country. We appreciate the support we receive from Basotho that makes us the number 1 insurer in Lesotho and we are proud to give back to Basotho by rewarding those who promise our country a brighter future.
