THE Easter hol­i­day is awash with a lot of ac­tiv­i­ties and they can­not be a bet­ter way of spend­ing the hol­i­day for mu­sic lovers than at­tend­ing some of the gigs lined up across the coun­try.

Rev­ellers will be spoilt for choice with the many events lined up, cater­ing for var­i­ous ages and tastes. Below is your gig guide for the long week­end…


Hunter’s Gold Easter Bash Quthing-based Or­ange River Ho­tel will kick off the fes­tiv­i­ties tonight with the Hunter’s Gold Easter Bash in which rev­ellers will be given a Hunter’s Gold cider, a t-shirt and cap among other prizes upon en­ter­ing the es­tab­lish­ment. Deejays De­tail, Stoan, Staach and War­rys will be on hand to keep rev­ellers en­ter­tained.


The Hang­out Thet­sane’s K Ash Car Wash will host the Hang­out party fea­tur­ing a star-stud­ded line-up of lo­cal rap­pers and deejays such as OG S’killz, Sadon, Bi­ble Verse, 3RD Code, L Tore, Nirex, MIP, Trybz, Os­mic, Afrodj, Hunky D and Ed­win among oth­ers.

Child of the 80s

4Fordy in Khu­bet­soana will mark the Easter hol­i­day with a 90s-themed party meant to bring back mem­o­ries of the by­gone era. En­ter­tain­ment will be pro­vided by the likes of P-kut­tah from the South African group Koolout, Da Starr, Hobbs, Shaixs­tacy, Saxzo, Ind max, Hit­man and

The A Supreme among oth­ers.

Happy hour party City cen­tre-based Times Café will host a tequila happy hour party in which rev­ellers would take shots of the bev­er­age af­ter ev­ery 60 min­utes. The co­terie of Boxfr3sh, Afrodj, Trybz, OG S’killz, Kaly Kome and Snurd are lined up to per­form dur­ing the show.

Grown Folk Night Maseru Mall’s Capello restau­rant will host an old school party ti­tled “Grown Folk Night”. DJ Tseko is set to play clas­sic tunes such as mid-tempo and the 90’s Hip Hop tracks.


Mad About Easter (M.A.E) Satur­day will mark the peak of the Easter hol­i­day en­ter­tain­ment cal­en­dar. Jo­han­nes­burg-based ac­tor Matli Mo­hapeloa, in part­ner­ship with Metro FM an­chor, Mo Flava, has or­gan­ised the Mad About Easter (M.A.E) to be held at Maseru Mall­based Ba.one restau­rant. The bash is a se­quel to the Mad about De­cem­ber held at the same event last year. It will fea­ture per­for­mances from Naak Musiq, Mr Maps and 357Fm deejays.

Mag­num Opus mix­tape launch

Arts move­ment, Mag­num Opus, will launch its mix­tape in style at Un­cle Cocks and Chop Bar, for­merly known as Li­tal­eng, op­po­site Lehakoe Club. The launch will also fea­ture per­for­mances from lo­cal artists such as Cyphic Black, Se­vere Agony, Fa­tal Verb, Kot In­ferno, OG S’killz, Pre­ston, Shady Ville, Os­mic, Taks and Gru G. Red­cup Neon Switch Times Café will glow of flu­o­res­cent colours when en­ter­tain­ment out­fit, Gift Givens Pro­duc­tions, hosts the Red Cup Neon Switch party.

The event is a se­quel to the Red­cup Hang­out out­door events held last year. Upon ar­rival, rev­ellers will be given glow sticks for mak­ing bracelets or glasses and Amer­i­can orig­i­nal red cups from which they will drink bev­er­ages that take their fancy. DJS Trybz, Katz Lee, Smooth, Os­mic, Jackie, Baby Lee, NINE24 and AfroMiks will keep the speak­ers boom­ing.

Maseru Fun Day The kids will not be left out of the fes­tiv­i­ties as Maseru Cen­tral Park will host a party cater­ing for the lit­tle ones with such ac­tiv­i­ties such as ap­ple con­tests, egg on spoon race, tram­po­line, jump­ing cas­tle, food con­test, face paint­ing and bike rid­ing while Moko­rotlo star, St­lofa, is set to per­form dur­ing the event.


The Nala Pro­ject Se­fikieng Sa Moshoshoe will on Sun­day play host to an art, food and cul­tural so­cial mar­ket open to pro­duc­ers of crafts, jew­ellery, leather works, ac­ces­sories and clothes.


Easy Chill Mon­day Thet­sane’s K Ash Car Wash will wrap up the hol­i­day on Mon­day with a laid back House event fea­tur­ing the likes of Hunky D, Ra­zor Da Soul, Za­gro Deejays, Takuma Thoxie, Kop­per, Sir Sch­aba, Mr Beekay and Tsi­uza among oth­ers.
