Research key to education success

Lesotho Times - - Feedback - Sefora Moleleki.

THE Lesotho College of Education (LCE) must focus on consolidating their diploma programmes before they can dare to think of offering degrees and post graduate studies “Professionalism is the buzzword for new LCE boss” ( Lesotho Times, 21 April 2016).

The issue of research, both at schools and at higher education level, needs to prioritised. Our teaching and learning endeavours need to be research-based. The research ought to be undertaken in Lesotho and not imported from some foreign country. Why do we still import textbooks to teach such subjects as natural sciences?

IN response to “Sinohydro rewards students” ( Lesotho Times, 21 April 2016), the ceremony was a success indeed. It motivated all the students who were there. We thank Sinohydro Corporation Lesotho management for the efforts taken to ensure that the ceremony a big success.
