A Division Top8 returns
sponsor the event to the tune of M200 000, with the winners pocketing M8 000.
“Not only will we have the Top8, we are also going to stage the Champion of Champions tournament featuring the two winners of the South and North streams on Wednesday next week,” Letsie said.
Butha-buthe Warriors won the North stream while against Sky Battalion took the South stream, gaining automatic promotion to the premier league in the process.
“I can confirm there is a company which has shown interest to sponsor our league and these competitions will give them a good platform to see our products. The competitions will also improve our
league as clubs will be more serious knowing there are such tournaments at the end of the season.
“It will also be a chance to see which stream is stronger as this is the only competition where they get to come against each other.”
Meanwhile, in the Top8 quarterfinals, Warriors face Van Rooyen, Sefotha-fotha battle Sky Battalion (28 May), Melele play Galaxy and Manonyane meet Nyenye Rovers (29 May).
