Bantu have transfer-listed nine players, among them stars Katleho Moleko, thabiso Mohapi and Isaiah Mosala.

the other players who have been asked to find new teams before the start of the 2016/17 premier league season are thato Mabitle, Ossala Sorrel, Dulang nthotsela, Keketso Lichaba, tšoloane Mosakeng, and tšoeu Mosollo.

the clear-out comes a week after the Mafeteng-based outfit fired coach Bafokeng Mohapi and his assistants Caswell Moru and Mosito Matela.

according to club president Leuta John Leuta, the team would be undergoing massive overhaul following its disappointing outing in the 2015/16 season in which it finished seventh on the 14-team table.

Bantu won the league championship in 2013/14 and Leuta says the management would leave no stone unturned in ensuring it returns to its former glory.

“Last season wasn’t good for us at all and we are trying everything possible to make sure the team gets back to being the force we were four seasons ago.

“With the help of the outgoing technical team, we identified players we must release now and we have since placed them on transfer,” Leuta said.

“It’s important that we clean house now while there is still time to acquire new players. the transfer window has opened and we thought it is best that we let these players aware of our intention.

“We can hold trials, buy new players and also promote some from our feeder team, Mafeteng Stars, so we will be casting our net wide in search of new players.

“But we will give the new coaches a chance to assess these players we have transfer-listed so that they can also make their own conclusions. after all, the players are still contracted to us.”

Leuta also said all is set for committee elections to be held this coming Sunday in Mafeteng.

“Everything is on track and people are excited about the elections as everyone will have their chance of electing the people they want in our committee.

“We usually don’t submit names as candidates but people are voted on the floor so we will only know the contestants on the day of the elections,” Leuta said.

“Due to their different commitments, some members of the current committee have indicated that they will not be seeking reelection.”
