Lesotho Times - - Sport - Mikia Kalati

KICK4LIFE retained the top spot in the 14-team Vodacom Premier League with a 3-1 victory over troubled Linare over the weekend.

Leslie Notši’s side has amassed 16 points from seven games.

New signing Bokang ‘Lefty’ Mothoana was the star man, netting a double in his first start of this season while the league’s top marksman Thabiso Brown weighed in with the third to bring his tally to seven goals so far.

The much anticipated clash between Lioli and Bantu failed to live up to its billing, ending in a goalless stalemate at Setsoto stadium on Sunday.

The point was however enough to enable Tse Nala to remain in second position while A Matšo Matebele are two steps behind in fourth.

The battle of the bottom teams Butha Buthe Warriors and Rovers also failed to produce the winner as the match ended in a 1-all draw.

Warriors anchor the table with just a point while Rovers are second from bottom with two points.

Sandawana secured their first victory of the campaign edging Liphakoe 3-2 in a five goal thriller at Maputsoe DIFA Ground.

Tau Msiu, Rethabile Rasethuntša and Mohatle Khabele scored for Sandawana while Thabo Matšoele scored a brace for the Quthing based team.

On Saturday, Matlama got the better of Likhopo as Tankiso Makhutla scored a late winner for Tse Putsoa’s second win on the trot.

The Moses Maliehe-coached side is in fifth position after five games and they are the only unbeaten side in the league this campaign.

The other match on Saturday saw LMPS and LCS play out a 1-all draw at PTC ground, a result that enabled the police side to cling to third position while LCS remained on 8th.

In the last match on Saturday, LDF won 1-0 to end Sky Battalion’s impressive run.

The rookies had registered back to back wins by stunning Kick4life a fortnight ago before beating Rovers.

As a result of that impressive start to life in the elite league that has so far yielded four victories, coach Thabile Secker’s side are in sixth position and with 12 points.
