Oc­cu­pa­tional safety is good for busi­ness

l Develop an OSH Man­age­ment Sys­tem in­clu­sive of pre­ven­tion, recog­ni­tion, de­tec­tion and com­pen­sa­tion of work-re­lated ill­ness or in­jury in­clud­ing emer­gency cases, with re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion and job se­cu­rity af­ter in­jury. l Gov­ern­ment shall take all rea­son­able, prac­ti­ca­ble steps to­wards achiev­ing pro­gres­sively a safe and healthy work­ing en­vi­ron­ment through a na­tional sys­tem and pro­grammes on OSH in ac­cor­dance with ILO con­ven­tions on Oc­cu­pa­tional Safety and Health. l Pro­mote col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween OSH and work­ers’ com­pen­sa­tion schemes to en­hance pre­ven­tion of work-re­lated ac­ci­dents and dis­eases as well as with other stake­hold­ers.

l Pro­mote an or­gan­i­sa­tion of OSH on the ba­sis of tri­par­tite and bi­par­tite co­op­er­a­tion and the par­tic­i­pa­tion of all par­ties at en­ter­prise and na­tional lev­els; l Develop the le­gal frame­work for work­place dis­eases, in­juries and ill­nesses in public, pri­vate and in­for­mal sec­tor.
