Not for you my love!

Sunday Express - - ENTERTAINMENT - by Nafisa Roza

I love you in red; in blister; in blood I love you unpunctually-like desire Breeding in quicksand With feet rooted in the clouds, Clouds enraging In red, fiery - like the angst in my knuckles They say they want to remember the feeling, The thunderous feeling of grazing your face Breaking down, breaking out across the planes Of your cheekbones, Lightning streaks of purple..... It is raining now, burning against my skin. My wrist watch pulsates on my veins, A sturdy ticking trying to resuscitate My patience for you What once felt like butterflies, is now a ticking time bomb like my patience for you My heart is hungry, Not for your love, no. Not anymore. Survival Instinct. My stomach rumbles on the same wavelength As the sky’s now Neither I, nor the sky wait for you, my love. “Waiter! The bill please.”
