Bantam weight boxer off to Thailand
LOCAL bantam weight (56kg) boxer Moroke Mokhotho is set for his first fight after the Gold Coast Australia Commonwealth Games in a week-long tournament in Thailand that started yesterday.
The Olympian said this tournament is part of his four-year scholarship under the Olympic Solidarity (OS) that started last year and ends in 2020.
The Olympic Scholarship for Athletes is a programme by (OS) that offers National Olympic Committees (NOCs) the possibility to obtain financial and technical assistance for a limited number of elite athletes. Under the facility, the athletes train and attempt to qualify for the Olympic Games.
