Red has always symbolised power, passion and glory. Upon achieving its first vibrantly coloured ceramic, (following 2011’s Magic Gold, the world’s most scratch resistant 18K gold, using an alloy between boron carbide and 24K gold), it’s suffice to say that Hublot has reached new heights of power, passion and glory with the Red Magic. The vibrant polished red ceramic stems from the fusion of pressure and heat sinters without burning the pigments ‒ a craftsmanship that the Hublot R&D department and Metallurgy & Materials laboratory achieved after four years. From the 45mm case and bezel; to the lined structured red rubber strap; right down to the nitty gritty flange, indices, minute and seconds counters, Arabic numerals and hands... all are bathed in a boastful red, juxtaposed with the mechanism of the movement and its column wheel, visible through the sapphire crystal dial.
