EARLY TO RISE AND QUICK TO SUCCEED
These CEOs are living proof that the early bird really catches the worm.
1. VIRGIN AMERICA CEO DAVID CUSH
David Cush’s alarm goes off at 4:15am, where he then checks his emails and has conference calls to his East Coast associates, all before hitting the gym and squeezing in the morning newspaper over breakfast.
2. DISNEY CEO ROBERT IGER
Robert Iger wakes up at 4:30am. He proceeds to exercise, reads a book, replies emails, has breakfast, and even manages to catch a few episodes of his favourite TV show before heading off to work.
3. CHRISTIE’S CEO STEVE MURPHY
The CEO of the auctioning giant turns to William Blake for his reason why he wakes up early: “Think in the morning, act in the noon, read in the evening, and sleep at night.” We think this pretty much says it all!
4. STARBUCKS CEO HOWARD SCHULTZ
Schultz goes for a bike ride every morning but still manages to reach the office before 6am. President Michelle Gass has been said to wake up at 4:30am every day for the past 15 years. Might have something to do with the coffee.
