DON’T JUDGE A COCKTAIL BY ITS NAME!

CLEO (Malaysia) - - SMART REPORT -

SOME COCKTAILS HAVE

LESS THAN NORMAL NAMES, WHICH MAKE THEM EVEN MORE FUN TO ORDER!

1. DEATH IN THE AFTERNOON

Contains champagne and Absinthe, this killer cocktail was invented by nonene other than Ernest Hemingway himself, whose actual instructions were to “drink three to five of these slowly.” We can’t really imagine how potent this mixture is, let alone having three to fiveve glasses. No wonder he came up with the advice to “write drunk and edit sober”; his masterpieces were worth it!

2. DIRTY WHITE MOTHER

A Dirty White Mother is simply a variation of the Dirty Mother (which is madeade without the cream on top) made from brandy, Kahlua coffee liqueur and cream. Most cocktails have not-so subtle indicators towards naughty things, and the “dirty” part of thee name hints at something darker and sinful.

3. SMURF PISS

Pineapple juice, Blue Curacao liqueur, blackberry schnapps and Sprite go into its concoction. The colour of this drink is contradicting to its name, as it comesmes out in a pale, murky black instead of the electric blue that jumps to mind. But then again,n, we can’t expect Smurfs pee to be the same colour as their skin, right?
