CLEO (Malaysia) - - EDITOR’S NOTE -

Imagine chilling at the beach and a plastic bag washes up on shore. Now multiply that by a few million – that’s pretty much the amount of trash accumulated along coastlines around the world! During the 2012 Coastal Cleanup Day, volunteers picked up more than 10 million pounds of trash along nearly 20,000 miles of coastlines around the world. In line with Coastal Cleanup Day, The Body Shop Malaysia aims to keep our beaches rubbish-free through its Annual Beach Clean Up. Last September, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and partners like our very own publishing company Blu Inc Media, the beauty brand removed nearly 600.2kg of trash from the shores of Port Dickson. So the next time you’re at the beach, think twice before you trash! Find out how you can take part in the Annual Beach Clean Up from The Body Shop Malaysia’s Facebook page.
