Saturday Night FEVER

CLEO (Malaysia) - - SMART REPORT -

Party season is all about getting your glam on – oh, and busting a few moves on the dance floor. But before you whip up a smoky eye for the thousandth time, check out how simple it is to update a classic look to make it fun and fresh. From an ice-cool colour change to a new way to work winged liner, this is your ultimate shortcut to sexy. With these ideas pinned to your mirror, you’re all set for one long, hot party. Winged eyeliner is the perfect look for cocktail o’clock, but if there’s one thing the catwalk shows taught us, it’s that it’s time to be more daring. Trade in the “been there, done that” black flick for a pop of coloured glitter. It’s not as messy as it sounds – and it’ll certainly make sure that you get noticed. Start off with an eye pencil that contains micro-glitter and work your way up to a liquid liner or cream-based product once you’re feeling more confident. For a glam after-dark look, create some depth by starting with black kohl and adding powder-based glitter over the top using an angled eyeliner brush.

Scared you’ll look like a disco ball? Stick close to the lash line for a subtle yet sexy look. And remember, if you’re using loose glitter or powder, it’s important to prep the eye with primer to deal with product fallout.
