NEO Tamarind’s executive chef, Chef Sombat Kokasemkul has created healthy selections for the health conscious. Portions are small but tasty and filling. It’s a wonder how all those flavours can be packed into small bundles of scrumptiousness! There’s the tuna lollipop, which is fresh tuna wrapped around a ball of Japanese rice served with a dollop of caviar. Make sure you try the marinated salmon paired with lobster ice cream. Yes, you read that right – lobster ice
cream. It tastes almost like regular chocolate ice cream – cold, creamy and rich – but with a meatier aftertaste, making it an excellent pairing for the fresh salmon. You also have to try the grilled tiger prawn risotto, grilled juicy tiger prawns placed over a scoop of creamy risotto. One of the more interesting new selections is the foie gras mousse with port wine jelly and pistachio nut. There is a slight sweetness from the port wine but the dish is mostly buttery, rich and creamy from the foie gras with a slight crunchy texture from the pistachio nut.
