The best advice I was given was the good old ‘Be yourself’ – no games or ‘plays’ when chatting someone up or getting to know them. Better someone not be interested in the real you straight away then working it out down the track when you can’t keep up the act anymore … unless you’re 20 years old and just after a shag. Then throw in all the game you want.
This advice seems to be pretty good – until the last sentence, anyway. “David was going so well, then ruined it,” says Dr McMillan. “The last bit shows he doesn’t consider manipulation or using women to be a problem so his moral code isn’t strong.” A-plus for the first half, David, then total fail.
