Sitting = Getting Fat
No, seriously sitting does get you fat. An enzyme called lipoprotein lipase in your blood vessel captures fat in the blood and burns it. The enzyme triggers when you’re standing or moving or moving but take a seat and these enzymes go back to their hideaways. According to James Levine, an obesity researcher at the Mayo Clinic, what separates thin people from the fat ones aren’t their diet but their sitting habits. This is why it’s really important to take short walks to stretch your muscles every 30 minutes or so. Remember, every little movement counts.
