“Making money out of your passion takes years,” admits Shosita. You don’t make it overnight from your passion or hobby. For Shosita, she spent years honing her skills and understanding of yoga before she considered teaching.”

Have A Plan B

“Even if I couldn’t find a full-time job after coming back from India, I could still offer photography services, or provide makeup services at a theatre,” says Shosita. Plan so you can find income and support while you improve your skills or explore your hobby.”

Get Real

“If you want to switch careers and be a yoga teacher, you have to understand that it will not give you an income that you used to have in a nine-to-five job,” reveals Shosita. So don’t expect a cushy life!
