The long awaited Android gadget is finally in town and here’s our take on it.
In terms of appearance the Samsung Galaxy S5 is just a tad bit longer than the S4 due to a larger screen. But what truly puts the S5 ahead of the S4 is its camera function. Get ready for sharp, high-definition pictures with the S5’s 16-megapixel rear camera.
The S Health app on the new model has also been designed to be more user-friendly with a simple interface and a new function that tracks your heart rate which is a definite plus for fitness junkies. Another function that has been getting a lot of buzz is the finger scanner. By sliding your finger against the screen you can not only unlock the phone but even process payments via apps like PayPal and log in to Samsung Hub.
Unfortunately, unlike the fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 5S which unlocks with just one touch, the Galaxy S5 requires you to slide your finger against the screen a number of times for it to successfully scan your finger.
