Freshly Sliced Bluefin Tuna
We got to see the man behind the menu, Chef Fukuchi-san, carry out a live demonstration of bluefin tuna slicing. Right after that, the chunks (that’s how generous they were!) of fresh tuna were delivered to us in tiny bowls. We sighed over how cute they looked before popping them into our mouths, and it’s safe to say that the taste lived up to the presentation. The tuna was super juicy and creamy and there was a noticeable absence of strong fishy smell, despite the fact that just a few minutes ago, it was a whole fish lying atop the table.
