Freshly Sliced Bluefin Tuna

We got to see the man be­hind the menu, Chef Fukuchi-san, carry out a live demon­stra­tion of bluefin tuna slic­ing. Right af­ter that, the chunks (that’s how gen­er­ous they were!) of fresh tuna were de­liv­ered to us in tiny bowls. We sighed over how cute they looked be­fore pop­ping them into our mouths, and it’s safe to say that the taste lived up to the pre­sen­ta­tion. The tuna was su­per juicy and creamy and there was a no­tice­able ab­sence of strong fishy smell, de­spite the fact that just a few min­utes ago, it was a whole fish ly­ing atop the ta­ble.
