Your teen years are for rebelling against your parents; your twenties are for ignoring them. However, if my twenties have taught me anything, it’s to try to resist this urge. Your twenties are also when you truly come to understand your parents on an adult level. In my case, I found out Dad was gay, and an excellent double-dating partner for me and my boyfriend. Soon, we’re going on a holiday with Dad and his partner to the Hunter Valley. Which is, I guess, what I do now that I’m 30.
