What about coffee and sleep?

CLEO (Malaysia) - - BODY & SOUL -

You know that it’s best to skip the espresso after dinner, but what about the couple of skinny flat whites you down during the day? We hate to break it to you, but caffeine is the enemy when it comes to a good night’s sleep, even if you’re having it first thing in the morning. Why? Well, it can make it harder for you to enter dream land. Secondly, for those lucky enough to nod off quickly, tea or coffee can mean a lighter sleep overall with 3am wakeups. Bonus (not): It can increase your loo trips during the night — it’s a stimulant, after all, and your bladder is not immune. The effects of caffeine can last four to six hours (hello, buzz), but your body needs a full 24 hours to flush it out of your system.
