Passion For Miles

Subang-born Karen started as a gymnast in primary school, and then progressed into running in her early teens. To date, she has ran countless marathons (she stopped counting after 10!) and a handful of triathlons. So it only makes sense that she’d spread her love for an active lifestyle with Kia Kaha Fitness, a fitness service provider which offers classes such as personal training, yoga, core, Bootcamp, and more. Even if you say nay to exercise (yep, trips to the mall do count), Karen is optimistic of your potential: “If you can look past the sweaty, and (sometimes) painful moments, and see the positive outcome, you’ll not regret it. If you decide to finally do something about your fitness goals, just ask. Chances are, somebody will say, ‘Hey, let’s do this together!’” Just last year, this wonder woman completed the Ironman challenge in Langkawi. “I guess I just love the adrenaline rush of it all!”

Karen’s favourite post-workout nosh? Good food, and ice-cold isotonic drink or coconut water.

Yep, that’s marathon number it 12? 11 ... or was
