Ex­cuse me while I have a mo­ment. You see, over a decade ago, I too was an in­tern, learn­ing all about the adrenaline- and cof­fee-fu­eled mag­a­zine world – which started with the loan­ing process. The ti­tle I in­terned for had a name sim­i­lar to CLEO – and ev­ery time any­one heard it over the phone, there was al­ways ex­cite­ment. “Oh, you’re from CLEO!” Ear­lier this year, when I found out I was go­ing to be at the helm of CLEO, I could barely re­sist the urge to pinch my­self. I had come full cir­cle, and what a time it is to be with the mag­a­zine. This month, CLEO Malaysia turns 21, and we still hold the ti­tle for the lead­ing women’s mag­a­zine in the coun­try. We’ve also been busy work­ing on a sleek new web­site which will be un­veiled this month, so keep your eyes all over our so­cials and our dig­i­tal space!

We also launch our first-ever clothing line col­lab, CLEO x SODA. The past few months, the team worked closely with SODA to pre­dict the colours and trends for the sea­son, and we de­cided to go with an en­er­getic, sporty, ath­leisure aes­thetic that’s easy to mix, match, and wear. Meet th­ese all­stars in our spe­cial fash­ion spread (page 76) and snap up the whole col­lec­tion for your­self (page 80).
