“If the bright and punchy colour palette didn’t put you in a good mood, the runway show definitely would’ve. Instead of a run-ofthe-mill presentation, Angel Chen sent models dancing down the runway. Yes, dancing, which was interesting because (A) you don’t see that every day and (B) you could see how the clothes worked in motion. Tassels, fringe and ruffles were aflutter as dance-pop music played on. Angel Chen sure knows how to put on a show.” “The first thing that popped in my mind when I saw Nigel Chia’s collection was my favourite Barbie doll and how I loved dressing her up. Now that we’re all grown up, the collection is almost like an homage to our childhood, giving us a chance to play dress-up with vibrant punches of colour and fun layering. My absolute fave is the yellow drop-waist dress with mermaid-skirt detail. I can totally imagine wearing this on a special night out or a dinner date.”
