34, Chief Operating Officer of Yayasan Chow Kit Tell us about the work you do with Yayasan Chow Kit . I star ted my career here eight years ago. We do what we can for the safe yo fat-risk children and provide them with basic rights and needs, so they have the ability to reach their full potential in life. Why did you choose social work? Everything you do here is rewarding. Looking at displaced children grow up into young, healthy, successful adults( we have alumni who are now working or studying at a tertiary level) is absolutely priceless . The biggest lesson you’ve learned? When I first star ted, I used to help children make decisions ( as in,I would decide for them ). I real is edit was wrong; children are little people who can think for themselves. A turning point in your career? When the boss es saw potential in me being a leader. I took this seriously to design my own leadership style.
