28, Professional MMA Fighter and Doctor How do you juggle your two passions? Being an athlete—an MM A fighter—and a doctor can be stressful. It rain a lot and sometimes I just want to do‘ regular girl’ things! But I would never stop the sport; there’ s still so much more I can explore.
How often do you train? After working a crazy shift at the hospital, I would go train whenever possible, even ifit’ s just for an hour. One flaw that you’ve turned into strength? Communication between coach and fighter is essential. I keep to myself a lot but I’ ve become better at expressing myself, in order to improve. How do you keep yourself motivated? Seeing t he hard work and dedication of my coaches and teammates fuel me. The most up lifting moment? Right after I lost a fight, someone from the crowd screamed“It’ s okay I ce Comet ( my nickname), you will come back stronger! ”. I was moved to tears . What is empowerment, to you? Being bold and diving headfirst into your passions , whatever they are.
