“There is no wrong or right way to be a ‘girl’. You do you.” — Hannan
22, Comedian, Actor, Singer and Writer How did you get into this industry? By accident ... Or not. I played music and danced as a child , t hen as a teenager took acting classes. This lead to training, auditions, shows ... Then I met my best friend who convinced me to try stand-up. I became the youngest person to win the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition, and have been performing ever since. The most empowering thing about your work? Performing has always been something that made me f eel comfortable with myself. And when people tell me that they relate to something in my act and are glad that I said it out loud, that gets me off. How do you stay creative? Doodling, dancing, journaling and free writing. Sometimes, I also makeup songs for myself as a gift that I can’t return. Would you ever recommend doing stand- up? If you’ re interested, do it. I must warn you, it’ s brutal. It’ s war. You will cry, your ego will be destroyed, and your family will send you hate-mail for supporting you on your artistic journey.
