CLEO (Malaysia) - - CLEO HOTSHOTS -

25, Environmentally Sustainable Design Engineer

What do you do daily at work?

My j ob scope involves consulting clients on how to make their buildings more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, which in turn also saves their operating costs.

Why did you choose this career path?

Sure, it’ s not a common one, I usually get laughed at. But I was attracted by the job scope, so that’ s why I went with it.

What was your dream job as a kid?

Actually, I’ ve always wanted to bean engineer. It was not something I saw often as a child and I thought it’ d be interesting.

How would you encourage women to join your industry?

I get to understand the entire construction process and about construction building codes — inside and out! What is empowerment, to you? Being able to go on a never- ending pursuit f or more knowledge and experience.
