Her jour­ney into minia­ture art be­gan in 2007; with a doll house book her sis­ter gifted her from Tai­wan. The for­mer me­chan­i­cal en­gi­neer­ing grad­u­ate soon re­alised t hat read­ing the book cover-to-cover barely sat­is­fied the cu­rios­ity in her, and that’ s when she de­cided to dab­ble in this in­tri­cate art.

“Some of my art works are cre­ated from mem­o­ries, es­pe­cially those of old school ob­jects, food or snacks we used to have in our child­hood,” ex­plained Lim Pui Wan, who also ac­cepts com­mis­sioned works, like the pro­vi­sion shop she com­pleted for a client’ s grand­fa­ther.

Like many cre­ative souls, this self-taught, full-time minia­ture artist whose cur­rent big­gest goa list ohos tan ex­hi­bi­tion of her work thrives from soli­tude .“I love to think be­fore I sleep. Ideas al­ways pop out when I’ m at peace or ina peace­ful en­vi­ron­ment—be ito na bus ride alone or hav­ing a quick jog in the park .”
