What is it about miniature art that has you so hooked?

I loved how a small world can be built, little by little, with just a few hexagonal spaces; that it encompasses so many details in one tiny space.

How did you conceptualise the Buttermellow Hive series?

The Buttermellow Hive series — a hexagonal ti led puzzle series featuring little mice living in rooms in different scenarios —combines my two interests: architecture and animals. People love to hear stories so I realised I could help t hem relate and even appreciate architecture through this form of story-telling.

How does this passion for miniature ar t complement your love for architecture?

This applies especially to the form of architecture that is old and forgotten, because each of them has their own story to tell. Through the Butter mel low household, I hope top reserve these forgotten buildings by transforming them into little models and giving them new life.

What does the next level of experimentation looks like?

I have hopes of combining all these mini pieces into one big piece of artwork and I’ m also looking forward to experimenting with lights.

What should be the takeaway message for people who enjoy your ar t work?

Appreciate the smaller details in life. What seems in significant at first, may have a lot to tell you, once you really look into it.
