ELLE (Malaysia) - - AGENDA -

Louis Vuitton was a celebrity favourite long before actresses started wearing its dresses or carrying its handbags. Katherine Hepburn didn’t travel anywhere without her Louis Vuitton luggage, Greta Garbo had a Louis Vuitton trunk just to hold her Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, and Sharon Stone commissioned the house to make her a vanity case. Elizabeth Taylor was also a fan, but her 1980s suitcase probably wouldn't stand out if it weren't for its famous owner and the homemade tag she cheekily attached to the handle, reading "MINE!"

Since introducing ready-to-wear in 1997 under the creative direction of Marc Jacobs and now Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton has of course strengthened its celebrity ties, so the exhibition also includes a number of standout pieces worn by celebrity clients, including the sequinned dress Taylor Swift wore to the 2016 Met Gala.
