Sunway’s massive theme part is a family vacation for everyone

Planning a family vacation is not an easy task especially when there are so many differing demands from family members. Few destinations if any have shown enough bravado to attempt the mammoth task of pulling together all these demands but hope remains in the form of a theme park for those who are fretting. If you’re one of those who are still wrestling over the ideal location to pitch the vacation tent, why not consider the Sunway’s the Lost World of Tambun (LWOT).

There’s a reason the park refers to itself as being “More than just a theme park!” because it certainly aspires to be so. Whether its is fun-rides, team building activities or a serene environment of beauty that you seek, LWOT certainly hopes to fulfil them in its own unique way.

Housed within the theme park are an array of offerings which include its Water and Amusement Park, its naturally occurring hot springs and spas, an adventure park, animal petting zoos and its very own unique tributes to the history and the wonders of the town of Tambun.

Playing with water invokes the fondest memories of childhood for some and the many exciting and thrilling activities within the park would certainly help form some unforgettable memories for your kids. Measuring a total of 76.7 metres in length, LWOT’S “Cliff Racer” which seats 2 is the longest inflatable twin speed coaster in Malaysia. Fly down the coaster at break-neck speeds and experience the pure adrenaline thrill as you rush down towards a jungle canopy. If the adrenaline route is not your cup of tea, coasting down LWOT’S 660 metre “Adventure River”, South East Asia’s longest river adventure, would have you passing through beautiful caves and other oneof-a-kind water features. Be sure to hold on though as “surprises” await you in the lengthy journey.

Fancy a dry trail instead? Lupe’s Adventure located in LWOT is the state’s first roller coaster adventure ride and will certainly offer a fair share of shrills and thrills. Experience the trepidation of the 24 seater roller coaster experience which sets up right before a scream inducing dive. Fancy yourself a pirate? Shiver your timbers as you step on-board “the Storm Rider”, a pirate boat that swings a 180 degrees with a spine tingling experience along with 40 other would-be swashbucklers.

After a long day of tours and theme parks, one can find comfort in the rejuvenatative powers of the spa offerings at LWOT. For children, the Saphira’s Lair is a world of luminous and colourful lights set within the backdrop of a glowing rainforest. The forest is also home to Saphira, a mythical yet majestic green dragon. For moms and dads, the option of the Lost World Steam Cave and the Crystal Spa where one may enjoy the restorative powers of massage and a steam sauna are also available. The Crystal Spa offers a variety of massages which ranges from traditional malay uruts to hot stone massages.
