Updates in the travel and hospitality industry
Malaysia is set to see closer cooperative efforts in the field of tourism with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) following the signing of an MLU which was held at the Malaysian Tourism Centre today.
The signing of the MLU will enable Tourism Malaysia to actively promote the country in the Middle East market through roadshows and participations in various travel marts and fairs.
Malaysia was represented by Minister of Tourism and Culture, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri bin Abdul Aziz while the KSA was represented by eoe Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism & National eeritage.
Both parties agreed to take necessary steps in encouraging and promoting co-operation in the tourism sector through collaboration in research and development as well as joint training pertaining to tourism-related programmes.
