Up­dates in the travel and hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try

Malaysia is set to see closer co­op­er­a­tive ef­forts in the field of tourism with the King­dom of Saudi Ara­bia (KSA) fol­low­ing the signing of an MLU which was held at the Malaysian Tourism Cen­tre to­day.

The signing of the MLU will en­able Tourism Malaysia to ac­tively pro­mote the coun­try in the Mid­dle East mar­ket through road­shows and par­tic­i­pa­tions in var­i­ous travel marts and fairs.

Malaysia was rep­re­sented by Min­is­ter of Tourism and Cul­ture, YB Dato’ Seri Mo­hamed Nazri bin Ab­dul Aziz while the KSA was rep­re­sented by eoe Prince Sul­tan bin Sal­man bin Ab­du­laziz Al Saud, Pres­i­dent and Chair­man of the Board of the Saudi Com­mis­sion for Tourism & Na­tional eeritage.

Both par­ties agreed to take nec­es­sary steps in en­cour­ag­ing and pro­mot­ing co-op­er­a­tion in the tourism sec­tor through col­lab­o­ra­tion in re­search and de­vel­op­ment as well as joint train­ing per­tain­ing to tourism-re­lated pro­grammes.
