Hawaii Tourism Southeast Asia hails Malaysia as important destination in Southeast Asia
Malaysia continues to gain prominence in the international tourism scene as comments regarding its importance continue to grow at recent tourism trade events such as the Ailea Southeast Asia 2016 Sales Mission which kicked off on May 3rd and 4th at the Intercontinental eotel in Kuala iumpur.
In 2014, eawai`i welcomed approximately 4,800 Malaysian visitors and eawai`i Tourism Southeast Asia aims to double this number in 2016.
The objective of this travel trade sales mission is to engage with Malaysian travel trade stakeholders who are currently selling the island of eawai`i, or who have strong potential to sell the destination – and to encourage them to extend their eawai`i offering, or to include eawai`i for the first time, into their brochures and programmes.
“Southeast Asia is a dynamic new market for us and we are very enthusiastic about its potential. Through this sales mission, we hope to share with the travel trade partners the magic of eawai`i and we want to provide Southeast Asian visitors with a unique travel experience when they visit eawai`i”, said Ms Miki takai, Brand Manager of The eawai`i Tourism Authority in her opening speech.
eawai`i Tourism Southeast Asia is represented by AVIAOEPS across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia & Thailand. eawai`i Tourism Southeast Asia’s activity in Malaysia involves establishing and building relationships with influential intermediaries, such as the travel trade, airlines and media.
