Hawaii Tourism South­east Asia hails Malaysia as im­por­tant des­ti­na­tion in South­east Asia

Malaysia con­tin­ues to gain promi­nence in the in­ter­na­tional tourism scene as com­ments re­gard­ing its im­por­tance con­tinue to grow at re­cent tourism trade events such as the Ailea South­east Asia 2016 Sales Mis­sion which kicked off on May 3rd and 4th at the In­ter­con­ti­nen­tal eo­tel in Kuala iumpur.

In 2014, eawai`i wel­comed ap­prox­i­mately 4,800 Malaysian vis­i­tors and eawai`i Tourism South­east Asia aims to dou­ble this num­ber in 2016.

The ob­jec­tive of this travel trade sales mis­sion is to en­gage with Malaysian travel trade stake­hold­ers who are cur­rently sell­ing the is­land of eawai`i, or who have strong po­ten­tial to sell the des­ti­na­tion – and to en­cour­age them to ex­tend their eawai`i of­fer­ing, or to in­clude eawai`i for the first time, into their brochures and pro­grammes.

“South­east Asia is a dy­namic new mar­ket for us and we are very en­thu­si­as­tic about its po­ten­tial. Through this sales mis­sion, we hope to share with the travel trade part­ners the magic of eawai`i and we want to pro­vide South­east Asian vis­i­tors with a unique travel ex­pe­ri­ence when they visit eawai`i”, said Ms Miki takai, Brand Man­ager of The eawai`i Tourism Author­ity in her open­ing speech.

eawai`i Tourism South­east Asia is rep­re­sented by AVIAOEPS across Malaysia, Sin­ga­pore, In­done­sia & Thai­land. eawai`i Tourism South­east Asia’s ac­tiv­ity in Malaysia in­volves es­tab­lish­ing and build­ing re­la­tion­ships with in­flu­en­tial in­ter­me­di­aries, such as the travel trade, air­lines and me­dia.
