What are the future plans for Bulgari Watch Division? Do you think it has reached its zenith?
We are just beginning. We have big plans for our watches. Currently our watch division is continuing to grow. And we would like to grow in a big way as we have a lot of room to grow.
How has Octo been received in the market?
The company has put a lot of investment into Octo. So far the results have been really more than anticipated. And this year we introduced the Finissimo, the watch with the thinnest movement, which we have invested three years into.
What do you think is the secret to Bulgari’s success?
I must proudly point out that we have the Italian flair, the ability to add style that is contemporary and architecturally inspired. The Italian style with the Swiss know-how is the key to our success.
What percentage of Bulgari watches are men’s?
Men and women watches are about the same, and only 10 percent of them are complications.
What does it feel like to be totally independent?
Our know-how and integration may be complete, but we are never 100 percent independent as it costs too much.
