Hollywood celebrities love their sneakers, as do Silicon Valley’s top CEOS. Yes, we mean Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Sundar Pichai of Google, Larry Page of Alphabet and Kevin Systrom of Instagram who have all been seen in Lanvin’s luxury kicks. But the maison isn’t just one of the OGS of the sneakersand-suit set. Their menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver’s distinctive inter- pretation of Old World elegance filled with relaxed silhouettes and elaborate workmanship could just be the reason why people are flocking to the brand. He’s managed to stay relevant and fresh throughout the 11 years (and counting) that he’s been in charge—which is an eternity in fashion.

And this is why Lanvin has opened it’s first flagship store in Malaysia, at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Online shopping’s great, but nothing beats the experience of trying a garment on and getting a feel for it against your skin. Some say shopping’s a chore, but is it really, when you’re presented with the best selection of bags, forward-thinking ready-to-wear and traditional suiting options possible? The clean, cream and black 2,040sqft space illuminated by a grand chandelier is striking yet straightforward. It simply says: welcome—and that’s why you’ll be seeing us there very often indeed.

The Lanvin boutique is located at Lot 2.10.02, Level 2, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
