Coloured lenses are trending hard.

Esquire (Malaysia) - - STYLE - WORDS BY SARAH CHONG

Everyone knows fashion trends are cyclical. And this season, for shades, we’re going back to the ’90s. With a pop of colour on your lenses, you’ll be making a big statement with just an easy detail switch. Just choose a frame design that you’re comfortable with. Take your pick from a red, blue, green or yellow tint (even rose or orange if you dare). Each tint has its individual benefits, such as green keeps colour distortion to a minimum and subtly improves contrast on extra glaring days, while yellow increases colour contrast and visibility, but ultimately, all protect you from those darn UV rays. Style inspiration for this trend? We suggest more Johnny Depp and less Justin Timberlake during his *NSYNC days.

Clockwise from top left: Carrera, Dior Homme, Tommy Hilfiger, Givenchy, BOSS Orange, Fendi.
