Six Senses, Bhutan

Esquire (Malaysia) - - CULTURE -

New from the Six Senses group (Zighy Bay in Oman, and Laamu in the Maldives are both worth a look), its Bhutan venue is the most extraordinary way to take in the Himalayan kingdom, which opened to visitors in 1974. The resort consists of five properties, including a farmhouse in Punakha, the Bumthang forest lodge, and Paro, built in stone ruins. Visit one, or all, and prepare to claim squatter’s rights.
