Diners will remember when Bombay Palace was housed in a majestic white colonial bungalow on Jalan Tun Razak. It has since moved to the Life Centre and while the ambience is very different, the food is as good as ever. Renowned for its tandoori (meat cooked over charcoal in a clay oven) dishes, chilli pakoras (chilli fritters) and navratna briyani (seasoned rice cooked with nine different vegetables). When we visited the restaurant, we had a chance to sample their lamb handi briyani ( briyani cooked in a wide-mouthed vessel) with murgh tikka masala (spiced chicken curry).
