If you need a rea­son to visit Pe­nang in April, then the Pe­nang In­ter­na­tional Food Fes­ti­val should be enough to get you up there! Run­ning from 15-30 April, this three-part fes­ti­val prom­ises to take you on an epi­curean jour­ney, cov­er­ing fa­mous hawker fare and food from the best cafes and restau­rants in Malaysia’s un­of­fi­cial foodie cap­i­tal. The Street Food Fes­ti­val will be held on Le­buh Pan­tai and will show­case hawk­ers who have plied their trade for decades; while the Taste of Pe­nang on Jalan Kelawai will fea­ture dishes from pop­u­lar eateries and en­ter­tain­ment by lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional buskers. To end, head to the Fringe Food Fes­ti­val at Gur­ney Paragon Mall where chefs, baris­tas and mixol­o­gists will gather to of­fer din­ers their most unique gas­tro­nom­i­cal cre­ations.
