Kate Sarginson (UK)

Ten years ago, Kate came to Malaysia to visit her father and was unexpectedly offered a job with Airasia at a party by none other than Tony Fernandes – Airasia was just three years old. then A stint followed in a research and consulting company for sports and entertainment, as well as a spell in the publishing industry.

After a break to re-train as a health coach, yoga instructor and personal trainer, she launched Common Wellness to offer those services to the women of KL. At the same time, she’s also the Market Director for Asia for global wellness news platform Welltodo. And when she’s not at work, she teaches at the Association of British Women in Malaysia’s house.

Besides her own training and yoga, Kate loves walks in the jungle and also plays netball with the MK Tigers Club in tournaments here and across the region. Malaysia’s diversity ‘always keeps it interesting’, she says, and despite the transient expat lifestyle, KL is home for now.
