No streaky base

Female (Malaysia) - - KATE SPECIAL -

WHEN WEARING FOUNDATION, A NATURAL-LOOKING COMPLEXION IS WHAT WE ALL WANT TO ACHIEVE. TAKE A CUE FROM ACTRESS UQASHA SENROSE FOR THE SECRET TO A FLAWLESS BASE NO MATTER THE OCCASION.

1. Sheer coverage in the morning

For a fresh and radiant finish, Uqasha chooses a fair shade that matches her skintone (shade 00). Celebrity makeup artist Chu Fan says that the key to achieving this look is to mix in a drop of moisturiser or makeup base with your foundation, and apply it on with your fingers. If necessary, gently pat some foundation under your eyes to cover up the dark circles instead of using a concealer. Lightly dust loose powder with a brush to set it in.

2. Sun-kissed glow for a day out

Foundation has the ability to brighten and protect the skin even whilst exercising. What’s even more important is one that can last all day without making the skin oily. For a sun-kissed look, Uqasha picks a shade or two darker and applies it all over her face including her neck, chest and shoulders. To prevent it from running, she sets it with a pressed powder or bronzer in a darker shade and to finish, she complements the look with an ombré lip.

3. Tanned and matte for a night out

Dare to be bold? If the finish is flawless, then why not? Do it just like Uqasha, who uses The Base Zero in 05 for a night out. She looks more alluring in a darker complexion with a matte finish. Here’s how to create it: use a sponge to pat the foundation (not spread) on your face. Then with a puff, using the same technique, pat the loose powder to set the foundation. Not matte enough? Switch your loose powder for a compact, dust it on with a brush and contour the cheekbones for that sexy, bronzy look.
