IS IT A GLOSS? IS IT A BALM? SISLEY’S MAKEUP MASTER ALEXANDRE COLAIANNI SPILLS THE DEETS ON ITS NEWEST LIP CARE.
Like a secret potion, Sisley’s new Phyto Lip Delight may confuse you at first sight. With a glazed, rich texture, the new wonder stick gives a healthy, sheer tint – except, it’s not what you think it is. Here’s what Alexandre had to say about it.
What’s the Phyto Lip Delight all about?
“The Phyto Lip Delight is a treatment that enhances your lips from the inside. With a glossy finish, the product plumps lips instantly while hydrating them at the same time just like a balm would. It comes in three naturally sweet colours in a beautiful golden tube: ‘Cool’ – a nude beige for everyday, ‘Pretty’ – a soft rose shade for a baby-doll look, and ‘Sweet’ – a delicate coral tint for a summer party look.”
It has a glossy texture, but what makes it different from a gloss?
“A gloss plumps and gives an illuminating lustre but will make your lips dry after a few hours. The Phyto Lip Delight does the same except dry them out. You’ll find that after constant use, your lips become plumper, nourished and protected.”
What’s the worst thing you can do to your lips other than unintentionally drying them out?
“Using chemically-infused long-lasting products! Long-wear makeup was generally designed after the ‘70s for movies but as soon as women started working and wearing makeup more often, the industry created products that lasted longer than usual with chemicals like petroleum and lead, which damage your lips and health so badly! The products which are easier to remove, the better.”
