Dad jokes abound

It’s been ve months since the previous chapter’s release, and Snow Place Like

Home is one chapter you do not want to miss. It picks up swiftly after the courtship and what we assumed to be a punfilled, o -screen honeymoon between Graham and Valanice, with a short but endearing puzzle sequence that leads to the events of King’s Quest III: To

Heir is Human. An 18-year time jump ensures, and the chapter begins proper with the return of (30-year-old spoiler alert!) Prince Alexander. What follows is a family vacation gone wrong, as the Graham clan gets separated shortly upon their arrival at the Ice Palace. riddle and escape room variety. The interactions between Graham and Alexander are deftly handled, incorporating a curious degree of subtlety and humor that works really well here. Despite its puzzle-heavy nature, they are rarely difficult to gure out – especially if you’re a seasoned King’s Quest player. There’s also a fair bit of development in the wise old Graham segment, which should culminate in a tear-jerking conclusion when Chapter V (and epilogue) comes along, hopefully before the end of the year.

A penultimate chapter that delivers.
