Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition lands on January 16, 2018.

GAX (Malaysia) - - NEWSWIRE -

As is Street Fighter tradition, Capcom has announced that Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will arrive on PlayStation 4 and PC on January 16, 2018. This updated release will include the titular Arcade mode and an Extra Battle mode, as well as shaking up the user interface and gameplay. The former is done with redesigned menu and other visuals, while the latter involved giving every character two V-Triggers.

There are other extras too, like a Gallery mode that works hand in hand with the Arcade mode. As with other fighting games, clear the Arcade mode using a character and you unlock said illustrations for that character. There will also be new character costumes too, and they can be unlocked exclusively via the new Extra Battle mode.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be priced at US$39.99 (~RM169) when it is released next year. But some of you may remember Capcom promised that if you did buy a copy of Street Fighter V when it was released, you would not have to buy another version of it. And that still holds true, as all the new content will be carried over to existing games as a free update. DLC characters being the tricky exception here, as owners of the original Street Fighter V will still have to unlock them, via in-game Fight Money or by getting the requisite Season Pass.
