Golf Asia (Malaysia) - - GEARGUIDE -

The world’s first “connected golf club”, where a shot-tracking sensor in the grip records data for every drive you hit and makes it easy to analyse and share your long game performance across social media. Three sole weights can be changed, letting you choose between a penetrating, low-spin trajectory, forgiving high flight or a draw bias, which is seriously clever from just the one head.

Cobra has taken the F7’s toe-to-heel dimension to the max allowed by the rules to heighten forgiveness. It means the F7 looks a bit of a brute at address, but also means extra forgiveness. All three testers agreed the F7 performed a great balancing act between feeling lightweight and powerful. And the combination of a giant footprint and a lively Fujikura Pro shaft bred lots of confidence, giving the impression the F7 was supremely easy to hit. Our test pro’s data demonstrates perfectly how much difference moving the weights between the front and back ports made. A 5mph rise in ball speed and 1.2° rise in launch angle added an extra 12m of carry with the 12g weight in the back position.
