How it compares to the 2016 M1
Sit the two next to each other and the new M1’s footprint is noticeably bigger. The extra size comes from a recessed toe section, which cleverly frees up extra volume to increase forgiveness. Numbers-wise the two were virtually inseparable for our test pro. New M1 gained 1mph of ball speed, lowered spin by 100rpm and both carried shots to within two yards of each other.
