Bell & Ross Launches New Timepiece
The new BR03 RS17 was launched during the Renault Sport Formula One TeamTM
Bell & Ross took off in the 20th century and despite it being a relatively new watch brand compared to the rest of the luxury watches, it has proved its mark in the world of professional aviation watches with its dual Franco-Swiss culture timepieces and exquisite watchmaking.
On 21 February 2017, the Renault Sport Formula One Team hosted a press conference event to launch their latest R.S.17 racing car. To celebrate the partnership with Bell & Ross, the brand launched the new BR03 RS17 at the same time, which will form part of a trilogy for BaselWorld this year.
Esteemed guests are invited to the event held at London’s Royal Horticultural
Halls. The debut of the new racing car is particularly exciting and sparked conversations as it are one of the first teams to reveal their car for the year. Renault Sport Formula One Team drivers, Jolyon Palmer and Nico Hulkenberg were present at the launch and spoke to guests following the announcement of the cars and watches. Bell & Ross CEO & CoFounder, Carlos-A. Rosillo also extended a warm welcome to his guests by introducing the timepiece.
Laying its foundation in 1994, Bell & Ross have helped many fighter pilots throughout the years keep time, once again proving that the brand had become a leading benchmark in the world of aviation. In February 2016, Bell & Ross made its first foray into the racetracks by joining the highly exclusive world of Formula 1 and became the official watch partner of Renault Sport Formula One Team – a partnership that has blossomed till date. For both brands, the engineers seek extreme performance, speed and mechanical accuracy.

BR03-94 RS17 was designed after the Formula 1 race cars, using the latest technological advances and innovative materials. This timepiece is extremely shockproof wits its sporty carbon fiber dial that makes it well suited for the motor racing world and also, the aviation industry. The chronograph information is presented in yellow anodized aluminium, an iconic colour used by Renault since they first entered Formula 1.
A calibre BR-CAL 301 automatic mechanical movement, encased within 42mm matt black ceramic with a sapphire anti-reflective coating, runs the timepiece.
